The society will be running a females only edition of our popular and successful Take Up The Whistle Course at Wasps RFC (W3 9QA) on the evening of Wednesday 14th September 2022.
This introduction to being a rugby match official is designed to encourage participants to take up refereeing rugby union. The course includes an overview of officiating the 15 a-side game - including practical elements - and candidates receive a whistle and cards upon completion.
In recent years, the society has invested significant effort in the promotion and development of female match officials, including female specific internal support and coaching networks. We continue to make positive steps in this area and are encouraged by the progress made to date, including our female officials achieving national and international recognition.
The cost for this course is £10 per person, reduced from the normal £25 rate.
