I have become aware of some confusion as to whether the new tackle height law, to be introduced from 1 July, would apply to sevens rugby. I can confirm, following explicit discussions with the Chair of the RFU Law Sub-committee, that the new tackle height law applies to all variations of rugby from 1 July.
