LSRFUR and RFU Online Learning

Whilst all outdoor rugby activities may have been suspended, there are still loads of ways to keep involved in the game, stay connected, and get yourself prepared for when rugby does restart!

LSRFUR are planning a series of online training events over the summer to keep our members up to date. The first will focus on the art of referee communication and will be delivered by LSRFUR and Panel referees Joe James and Hamish Grant and will take place on Wednesday 6th May 2020 at 8pm. They will be sharing some of their tips - from starting out in London to taking on games in the RFU Championship. Look out for joining details on our social media and via email.

The RFU are also running a series of online Webinars. Fronted by the professional referee team, they will be sharing expert hints and tips from their experiences at the top of the game. The first focussed on refereeing the tackle, and was hosted by Craig Maxwell-Keys and Tom Foley. It’s a great session for referees of all levels of rugby. The most recent session took place on Tuesday 28th April and focused on the use of advantage. Ian Tempest and Christophe Ridley shared their expert hints and tips to help you get the most out of advantage. The full session will shortly be shared via this page: https://www.englandrugby.com/news/article/weekly-online-coaching-webinars
