LSRFUR are sad to learn of the passing in recent days of members Keith Tanfield and Barrie Reynolds, both of whom made significant contributions to the society.
Barrie Reynolds was an active assessor in the society for a number of years, primarily across the North region, providing excellent feedback and guidance to referees coming through the ranks.
Keith Tanfield had been an active member of the society for a number of years before becoming involved in the management of the former North East list - as it was then - taking over as manager in the early 1990s. In 1996, when the region merged into the North region, Keith took on responsibility for managing and appointing assessors. A planned celebration of Keith’s life is scheduled to take place at Bishops Stortford RFC in September and further information will be shared once confirmed.
